Whatsapp, has reached a billion users worldwide and there's only few service that has achieved the feat

Popular instant messaging app, Whatsapp, has reached a billion users worldwide. This is according to the Chief Executive of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Mark wrote on his Facebook wall that:
One billion people now use WhatsApp. There are only a few services that connect more than a billion people.”

Whatsapp, on its part, wrote on their blog that: “That nearly one-in-seven people on Earth who use WhatsApp each month to stay in touch with their loved ones,
their friends and their family. "

In 2014, Facebook acquired Whatsapp for a whooping $19 billion. The number of users have, however, skyrocketed since the social media giant acquired Whatsapp.

Facebook made the messaging App free after it bought it and have proposed to make Whatsapp more convenient for
businesses by making communication easier for customers and sellers.

This, analyst say, will be a means for the Social media giant to make revenue.
